The Bruce C. Clarke Library is slated to kick off their annual summer reading program July 8. This year’s program will require online reporting and is open to Family members of all ages. Registration is scheduled to begin Sunday and reporting is scheduled to end Aug. 25. “This year’s summer reading registration and reporting will be done online so you can do it at anywhere, anytime from home, from a phone on a library computer, in the middle of the night or while on vacation,” said Joyce Waybright, chief of community services. “If a parent is deployed or TDY they can view their Family’s progress online or sign up themselves in the adult reading program.” Readers can register under their age group or parents can register their children. The goal is to read at least seven books for adults and 700 minutes for children. Participants are also welcome to listen to audio books. Organizers say this year, the program will allow participants to review books and share their reviews with other. There will be drawings throughout the program for several prizes. To be registered, you must take part in the program and report reading. Grand prize drawings are scheduled for after the program ends. Winners must be library patrons or the child of an authorized sponsor. For more information, call 563.4113. To sign-up, go to www.wood.army.mil/library/community.html. |
