Legendary western music group Riders in the Sky performs at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Cowan Civic Center, 500 East Elm St., in Lebanon. For more than 30 years, Riders in the Sky has been reviving and revitalizing the western music genre, keepers of the flame passed on by the Sons of the Pioneers, Gene Autry and Roy Rogers. And while remaining true to the integrity of western music, they have themselves become modern-day icons by branding the genre with their own legendary humor and western wit, along encouraging buckaroos and buckarettes to live life “The Cowboy Way.” Tickets to Riders in the Sky are $25 and can be purchased at Morgan Music in Lebanon or by calling 417.532.6502. Discounted tickets can also be purchased on post at the Information, Ticketing and Registration office for $23 for adults, and $20 for children 12 and younger. The ITR office is located in the post Mini Mall in Bldg. 490. For more information, call 329.8587. |
