Fort Leonard Wood’s 2017 intramural softball season reached the halfway mark with games played June 27 and 28 at Sports Complex B.

Teams have now completed four weeks of the eight-week season. No games were scheduled last week due to the July 4 holiday. Recreation League games were postponed June 26 due to inclement weather.

In Conference A games played June 27:

— The U.S. Marine Corps Detachment defeated the 50th Engineer Company, 13-6;

— The 701st Military Police Battalion beat the 2nd Battalion, 48th Infantry Regiment, 16-5;

— The Air Force Detachment 1, 364th Training Squadron, defeated the 50th Engineer Company, 18-7;

— The Marine Det. beat the 2-48th Inf. Bn., 9-3;

— The Air Force Det. defeated the Marine Det. MOTO team, 14-8;

— The 554th Engineer Battalion beat the Noncommissioned Officer Academy, 7-5.

The Air Force Det., at 5-0, currently leads the Conference A standings, followed by the Marine Det. at 4-1 and the Medical Department Activity at 3-1.

In Conference B games played June 28:

— The 515th Engineer Company defeated the 58th Transportation Battalion, 20-6;

— The 763rd Ordnance Company and Staff Judge Advocate both picked up forfeit wins;

— The 515th Engr. Co. defeated the 763rd EOD, 11-7;

— The Dental Activity beat the 58th Trans. Bn., 15-5;

— The 2nd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment, defeated the 509th Engineer Company, 29-12.

With four weeks remaining, the 2-10th Inf. Bn. and the 515th Engr. Co., both at 5-1, hold the lead in the Conference B standings, followed by the 763rd EOD and the 364th Training Squadron at 4-1.
