Sports meeting set for Waynesville parents, athletes Print E-mail

The Waynesville Athletic Department will conduct a meeting for student-athletes who plan to participate in a fall, winter and/or spring sport for the 2017-2018 school year.  

All 7th grade and 9th grade student athletes and at least one parent or guardian are required to attend one of the meeting dates below.  All other student-athletes who have not attended a sports parent/athlete meeting in the past will also be required to attend.  

The meetings will be held at 3 p.m. July 30 at and at 5 p.m. Aug. 17 in the auditorium at Waynesville High School.

One parent/guardian MUST attend this meeting with their child. A student will not be allowed to play in a game, match or contest if they do not attend  with their parent or guardian. The focus of the  meeting concerns eligibility, sportsmanship, the student-athlete code of conduct and parent-coach communication.

Physicals are required and may be turned in 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. July 30 at the high school.
