GUIDON staff

Fort Leonard Wood will hold a free 5k fun run and mini health fair at 8 a.m. Saturday, starting at Davidson Fitness Center.

The event is being held in support of Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month, and will include information for all participants, including parents and children.

Participation is free, and the event is open to the public.

Following the 5k, a Kid’s Half-Miler will be held at 9 a.m. Ribbons will be awarded to all children who complete the half-mile course.

Saturday’s 5k run and mini health fair is one of six events held by Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation this year. Participants who complete four of the six events can receive a free T-shirt. Punch cards will be available at the information tables during the event.

For more information about the run, call 573.563.0131, ext. 64359 or visit the FMWR website at https://leonardwood.armymwr.com.
