The Army Entertainment Comedy Tour is coming to Fort Leonard Wood, giving local audiences a chance to enjoy the comedy stylings of Felipe Esparza, Finesse Mitchell and Seaton Smith.

The show, which is open to adults ages 21 and older, begins 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at Pershing Community Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The show is the first time Fort Leonard Wood has hosted an Army Entertainment comedy show in five years.

“We have had these shows before, and it was a good show,” said Eli Wilson, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Community Activities manager.

Originally from East Los Angeles, Esparza is a comedian and actor known for his raw, real-life comedy performances that helped him win NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2010. Soon after, he starred in and produced his first Showtime special “They’re Not Gonna Laugh at You.” He also launched a popular podcast in 2014, entitled, “What’s Up Fool?,” on the All Things Comedy podcast network. Felipe is a recurring character on NBC’s “Superstore” and has an upcoming one-hour comedy special due to premier this fall.

Finesse Mitchell
Mitchell is a multi-faceted actor, comedian and author who recently appeared in “Mad Families” with Charlie Sheen on Crackle TV, “Media” on TV One and Showtime’s “Roadies.” Mitchell performs stand-up comedy to sold out shows across the country.  Known for his witty take on timely subjects and relationships between men and women, he appeals to all demographics.  Mitchell performed in the 2013 Shaq All-Star Comedy Jam tour and shined as a featured act on the “SHAQ All-Star” one-hour comedy special taped in his hometown of Atlanta which aired on Showtime. Mitchell is also a supporter of the men and women in the Armed Forces, recently appearing in Ron White’s “Comedy Salute to the Troops” which aired on Country Music Television.

Seaton Smith
Smith is billed as “one of the most exciting stand ups in New York City.” Having honed his material in the comedy clubs and bars of The Big Apple, Seaton got his first big break in 2014, landing the coveted role of Motif on FOX’s “Mulaney” followed by appearances on Comedy Central’s “Inside Amy Schumer,” HBO’s “Girls,” and Comedy Central’s “The Nightly Show.” Seaton is a regular headliner at some of the best comedy clubs and comedy festivals across the country.
