The start of a new year means New Year’s resolutions, and for many that means a newfound commitment to fitness. Fort Leonard Wood will showcase the fitness classes it offers during “New Year New You,” scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Davidson Fitness Center.

Entry fees are $5 per person.

During the event, attendees will meet the installation’s group fitness team, sample several fitness classes and plan their health and wellness goals for the future. Personal trainers will be available to answer questions and schedule meetings with those interested.

According to Kirstan Carpenter, fitness coordinator with Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, the event is designed to help attendees achieve success in setting and reaching their fitness targets.

“(It is) based on the New Year’s resolutions everyone makes, and encourages them to build, grow and achieve the goals they will set,” Carpenter said.

The event is open to the public. Participants must be ages 13 or older.
