Charles Eatmon, Dental Activity, bowls a practice frame during the first night of the 2018 intramural bowling season at DBC. Fourteen teams began the season, which will continue with rounds bowled Thursdays through mid-April.

Seven teams are in the lead and seven teams are one game behind after Fort Leonard Wood’s 2018 intramural bowling season began Feb. 1 at Daugherty Bowling Center.

Fourteen teams participated in the opening night of the season. Among the winners after Week One:

— The 14th Military Police Battalion beat the 701st Military Police Battalion;

— The 1st Battalion, 48th Infantry Regiment, defeated the Medical Department Activity;

— The 2nd Battalion, 48th Infantry Regiment, beat Company F, 701st MP Bn.;

— Company C, 701st MP Bn., picked up a forfeit victory;

— The 1st Engineer Brigade beat Company A, 554th Engineer Battalion;

— The 3rd Chemical Brigade defeated Company D, 554th Engr. Bn.;

— The Maneuver Support Center of Excellence defeated the Dental Activity.

The intramural season will continue with games held each week at 6 p.m. Thursdays now through April 26 at DBC.
