Free tickets available for Military Appreciation Day at Hammons Field

Infuze Credit Union is sponsoring the 12th annual Fort Leonard Wood Military Appreciation Day at the Springfield Cardinals June 24 at Hammons Field in Springfield, Missouri.

Free tickets are available for all active duty service members, retirees, veterans, Guard members, reservists and their dependents at the Infuze Credit Union branch on Fort Leonard Wood, 5000 Illinois Ave.

Tickets may be picked up between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday or by special arrangement by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Military ID must be presented at time of pick up.

Tickets include a voucher for a free hot dog.

The Springfield Cardinals are the AA minor league affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. They are scheduled to take on the Arkansas Travelers, the AA affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, at 6:10 p.m. Gates open at 5:10 p.m., with pre-game ceremonies scheduled at 5:30 p.m.

Pre-game ceremonies featuring Fort Leonard Wood personnel will include a ceremonial first pitch, an Oath of Enlistment ceremony, the playing of the national anthem by the 399th Army Band, the presentation of the colors by the post’s Joint Services Color Guard and appearances by Fort Leonard Wood service members. A fireworks display will follow the game.
