Concerts offer discounts, free tickets to service members

A pair of southwest Missouri concert venues are offering special rates for active-duty service members in observance of Veterans Day.

— The Springfield Symphony Orchestra is offering a discounted rate for its Salute to Veterans Pops concert, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts in Springfield, Missouri.  Active-duty service members can purchase tickets for $10. Regular adult tickets to the concert are $36 per person. The performance will include special recognition of all veterans in attendance.  For more information, call the Springfield Symphony at 417.864.6683.

— “Hank Williams Revisited,” a tribute show starring Tim Hadler, is offering free admission to veterans and their spouses Monday through Nov. 10 at the Caravelle Theater in Branson, Missouri. Hadler performs the music of Hank Williams Sr. at 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the theater, which is located at 3446 West 76 Country Boulevard.

Regular admission to the show is $35 for adults, $15 for children ages 6 to 13 and free for children ages 5 and younger. For reservations, call the Caravelle Theater at 417.334.5100.
