Veterans Day parade Saturday in St. Robert

The annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Parade is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday starting at the St. Robert Municipal Center.

Parade participants will arrive between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m., followed by the parade at 11:30 a.m. The parade route will depart from the Municipal Center to Missouri Avenue to Old Route 66. The parade will turn around at the Center of Autism and Related Disorders and end at the St. Robert Community Center.

Missouri Avenue and Route 66 will be closed from 11:30 a.m. until about 1:30 p.m.

In conjunction with the parade, the Armed Services YMCA will set up its “Field of Heroes” display at the George M. Reed Roadside Park in St. Robert, which is along the parade route, on Friday and Saturday.

The display is made up of dozens of U.S. flags.

The parade and the Field of Heroes display are free and open to the public to view.
