If you’ve got a potentially award-winning barbecue recipe or a classic car or truck you’ve been wanting to show off, the City of St. Robert is looking for you.

The city’s 10th annual Outdoor Sportsman Show, scheduled March 16 and 17, will include both a barbecue contest and an auto show this year.

Both events will be held inside the St. Robert Community Center alongside numerous vendors, featuring a variety of outdoor products and services geared toward hunters, anglers, hikers, campers and more.

Barbecue contest

This is the third year the show has included a barbecue contest, which this year will include a $1,000 grand prize. Competition will take place in two divisions: A children’s division for competitors ages 6 to 12, and an adult division for barbecue cooks ages 13 and older.

The entry is $15 for the children’s division, which includes two categories: hamburgers and hot dogs.

Adults can compete in up to five categories, including brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken or specialty items. The adult-division entry fee is $15 for one category, and an additional $5 for each additional category.

A new addition to the Outdoor Sportsman Show, the auto show will make its debut in 2018 with competition in several categories, including classic cars and trucks, street rods, muscle cars, modified cars and trucks.

Entry fees are $20 per vehicle.

The auto show will be held on the ballpark parking lot adjoining the community center. The registration deadline is March 1.
