Hoops action heats up DFC

The 2018 intramural basketball season and Recreation League schedule continued with games played Jan. 29 and 30 at Davidson Fitness Center.

In Conference A games played Jan. 30:

— The Medical Department Activity defeated the 58th Transportation Battalion, 54-36;

— The Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Chemical Brigade, beat the U.S. Marine Corps Detachment, 41-37;

— The Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Engineer Brigade, beat the 14th Military Police Brigade, 37-34;

— The 554th Engineer Battalion defeated the 2nd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment, 53-34.

After three weeks, MEDDAC leads the Conference A standings with a record of 3-0, followed by the 554th Engr. Bn, the HHC, 3rd Chem. Bde.; and the HHC, 1st Engr. Bde., all at 2-1.

Five weeks remain in the Conference A season.



Conference B


Due to a scheduling conflict, Conference B games were not played Jan. 31, but will be rescheduled for a later date.

After the first three weeks of the season, Staff Judge Advocate, at 3-0, and Combat Training Company, at 3-1, lead the Conference B standings.

Four weeks remain in the Conference B season.



Recreation League


In Recreation League games played Jan. 29:

— The Rookies defeated the 43rd Adjutant General Battalion, 73-32;

— The 554th Engr. Bn. beat the 58th Trans. Bn., 45-33;

Image— The 14th MP Bde. defeated the Tank Automotive and Armaments Command, 47-36;

— The Jokers picked up a forfeit victory;

— Los Masacotes defeated the HHC, 3rd Chem. Bde., 34-30.

After the first three weeks of the season, the Rookies and the 554th Engr. Bn., both at 3-0, lead the Rec League standings. Ten weeks remain in the season.
