Special to GUIDON
Michelle Roper from the Logistics Readiness Center worked diligently to assist Company D, 3rd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment with the transportation of trainees whose travel was significantly rearranged and condensed due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
Roper enabled seamless execution of transportation to and from training events at very short notice and played a pivotal role in the company’s success. Without her efforts — and the flexibility of her and her team — Delta Company would not have been able to successfully adjust to the setbacks encountered as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.
Staff Sgt. Micah Horwood, a drill sergeant assigned to Company A, 2nd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment, volunteered during the U.S. Army Reserve Best Warrior Competition at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Horwood served as a coach and mentor to various Army Reserve Soldiers during the competition.
The participants competed in a 12-mile foot march, stress shoot, hand grenade familiarization, weapons qualification, obstacle course and a variety of warrior tasks and battle drills.
Horwood’s dedication and hard work contributed to the event’s success.
