Empowering employees. Inspiring change. Remember, your input matters.
It’s time again for the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey and the U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence leadership is encouraging participation.
“The FEVS survey is government-wide, and it is non-attributional,” said Gregg Thompson, MSCoE and Fort Leonard Wood deputy to the commanding general. “Most importantly, it is an excellent opportunity to share with senior leaders your perspective regarding critical work-life areas at Fort Leonard Wood.”
This year each employee is receiving a unique link to take the anonymous survey. The Office of Personnel Management will send weekly reminders until the survey closes on June 25. All full-time or part-time, permanent, non-seasonal, appropriated funds employees onboard with the Army as of October 2018 are eligible.
The survey results provide valuable insight to senior leaders on the strengths of the civilian workforce, as well as gauging areas for improvement and current challenges.
According to the OPM, responses from the 2018 FEVS helped guide the Army in developing more tailored programs and initiatives, including launching the updated Onboarding and Acculturation program; rolling out the Army Civilian Service Recognition pins; redesigning the Army Civilian medals to update the naming conventions and have more consistency with the military; and sharing engagement best practices via the Employee Engagement Council.
“I will receive our 2019 results in the fall, and we will be deliberate about understanding issues and trends that affect our work-life experiences here,” Thompson said. “Strong participation in the survey becomes a powerful tool to understand the great work we are doing and the issues that require our collective focus.”
The opportunity to complete the survey runs from now to June 25. OPM ensures all employee responses are anonymous and reported in aggregate form, with a minimum of 10 responses needed for the Army to receive results.
“My personal thanks to each of you for the work you do every day. Collectively we are an incredible team of teams that supports our great community, delivers critical services, develops leaders and warriors of character, develops the future force and much more,” Thompson said.
