Waynesville R-VI School District marketing
From pre-school for children with special needs to dual credit and Advanced Placement college courses, the Waynesville R-VI School District offers a variety of programs to meet the academic needs of students at all levels. Waynesville teachers also embrace the Professional Learning Community model and classes begin 30 minutes late each Wednesday to allow teachers to collaborate on best practices.
After school programs
In the After School Club TIGER Program, students participate in a variety of hands-on activities, including enrichment projects, tutoring, fitness, crafts and more. A sliding fee is available, based on family income levels. Information is at www.waynesville.k12.mo.us/Page/6811.

Various clubs and activities include band, fitness, leadership, engineering, art, invention, math, photography, robotics, Spanish, ceramics, cooking, Key Club, JROTC, student government, Student-2-Student, FFA, choir, etc. Ask your child’s school what is offered on site.

eSchoolPlus’ Home Access Center enables parents to monitor their child’s academic progress via the internet. In addition to information from teachers, the district uses texts, email, voice messages, its website, Facebook pages, Twitter, Remind, Channel 12 television and newsletters to help keep parents informed.

Waynesville R-VI test scores consistently exceed state averages. The Waynesville R VI School District achieved a 95.7 percent on the State of Missouri’s Annual Performance Report — in 2017, the latest information available as of publication time.
The Waynesville R-VI School District is the second largest employer in Pulaski County with 784 employees. Employees include 276 classified and 508 certified staff members.
Teachers average more than 11 years of teaching experience and more than 59 percent of the district’s teachers hold master’s degrees or higher.
Waynesville R-VI works to build a connected learning community to enhance our students’ success. The district works closely with parents and community members. More than 1,200 individuals have registered to volunteer in school buildings through the district’s community volunteer coordinator. The AmeriCorps program provides full-time volunteers placed in every elementary building and the middle school to directly tutor students in reading and math.
The VISTA program provides full-time volunteers to work with the community to build the capacity of the school district to serve at-risk youth and eliminate poverty.
