It was a short week for intramural basketball teams in Conference A, which played only on Feb. 12. In those games:
— The Medical Department Activity defeated the U.S. Marine Corps Detachment 59-58;
— The 58th Transportation Battalion beat the Sappers 56-49;
— The Sappers defeated the Marine Det. 49-38.
The 14th Military Police Brigade leads the Conference A standings with a record of 9-0, followed by the Sappers and MEDDAC, both at 6-3, the 58th Trans. B. (5-4) and the Marine Det. (2-8).
In Conference B games played Feb. 12:
— The 1st Engineer Brigade defeated the 5th Engineer Battalion 39-38;
— The 3rd Chemical Brigade beat the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate 53-43.
In Conference B games played Feb. 11:
— OSJA defeated the 3rd Chem. Bde. 52-50;
— The combined Maneuver Support Center of Excellence/ Combat Training Company team beat the 5th Engr. Bn. 42-36.
The 1st Engr. Bde., at 4-1, currently holds the top spot in the Conference B standings. They are followed by the MSCoE/CTC team in second place at 4-2, the 3rd Chem. Bde. (4-3), the 5th Engr. Bn. and OSJA (both at 3-3) and the 31st Engineer Battalion (0-6).
In Recreation League games played Feb. 10:
— The Marine Det. Rec League team beat the MSCoE/CTC Rec League team 53-37;
— The Hot Boyz defeated the MSCoE/CTC Rec League team 71-20;
— The Hot Boyz beat the 58th Trans. Bn. Rec League team 77-42.
The Hot Boyz lead the Rec League in Conference A with a record of 4-0. They are followed by Ozark Ques (2-1), the 58th Trans. Bn. Rec League team (2-2), the Marine Det. Rec League team (1-2) and the MSCoE/CTC Rec League team (0-4).
Among Conference B teams in the Rec League, Birdy’s Revenge (3-1) is in first place, followed by the 14th MP Bde. and 1st Engr. Bde. Rec League teams (both at 2-1), The Fallen Outdoors (1-2) and the Engineer Basic Officer Leader Course (0-3).
