Monday marks the beginning of the U.S. Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear School’s Best CBRN Warrior Competition where 15, two-person teams will compete to see who is the best of the best from across the regiment.
Organizers of the three-day competition have been busy planning and working out the logistics to ensure this year’s event is more challenging than the last for competitors from around the world.
“We took comments from last year’s event to make this a bit more rigorous and hone in on our technical skills a bit more,” said Col. Dale Crockett, 3rd Chemical Brigade commander. “We are also very excited about a French team competing along with teams from Carson, Hawaii, Bliss, Lewis, Korea, Italy and Fort Leonard Wood.”
Maj. Nicholas Bell, brigade operations officer, said event information will not be released prior to the event, but those wishing to view portions of the competition may stop by the 3rd Chemical Brigade Headquarters each day to get the most current schedule of the day’s events, times and locations.
Crockett encourages all to come out and cheer on their favorite team during the final event at 11:30 a.m. May 2 on Gammon Field. An awards ceremony is scheduled to follow.
