The 43rd Adjutant General Battalion and the 102nd Training Division are the early leaders of Conferences A and B, respectively, after the first week of Commander’s Cup bowling at Daugherty Bowling Center.
A total of 12 teams started league play Jan. 20 at DBC, with six teams competing in each conference.
During league play, each four-person team bowls three games to earn points based on their head-to-head game against opponents on the same lane, the highest number of pins knocked down and handicaps.
In Conference A, the 43rd AG Bn. took first place with seven points, followed by the 14th Military Police Brigade and the 58th Transportation Battalion (both with five points), the 1st Engineer Brigade and a combined Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Combat Training Company team, both with two points, and the 252nd Military Police Detachment, with no points.
Meanwhile, in Conference B, the 102nd TD earned seven points to finish in first place, followed by the 84th Chemical Battalion and the Medical Department Activity, both with five points. The 3rd Chemical Brigade and the 31st Engineer Battalion took fourth and fifth, respectively, and the 5th Engineer Battalion rounded out the standings in sixth place.
The intramural bowling season has five weeks remaining.
