The Career Skills Program along with Affirm Military Fellows Program and Shift.org has provided an opportunity for a transitioning service members to experience and gain various skills with the day-to-day operations of a technology organization.
Recently Capt. Don Yoo had the opportunity to participate in an internship with the Affirm Military Fellows Program and Shift.org. This opportunity offered training in case studies, sales, interaction with business partners, research, community outreach, marketing, education, and how to utilize prospecting tools and extension to qualify businesses. Shift.org presented him with a pathway from military service to an innovative and interesting technology company.
Along with direct support from the Fort Leonard Wood CSP installation administrators. Yoo sought out this opportunity and completed his CSP internship in the Bay Area of California. Upon the conclusion of his internship training, he received an offer letter and accepted a position as client success manager within the tech industry of the Silicon Valley area of San Francisco, where he will reside upon the conclusion of his military career.
