The Truman Education Center, in collaboration with LaunchCode, is scheduled to begin offering an 18-week coding class on Fort Leonard Wood beginning April 10.
LC101 FLW is scheduled from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Truman Education Center.
According to a release, the “proven effective” tech curriculum is free, and successful students can receive employment at a high-paying tech job as a software developer with a leading Fortune 500 consulting firm.
Opportunities for employment will be available in the following areas: Boston, Dayton, Ohio; Colorado Springs, Colorado; San Diego; San Antonio, Texas; Lexington and Norfolk, Virginia; St. Louis; Washington D.C. or Tampa, Florida.
Average salaries start at around $50,000 with increases commensurate with education and experience.
The course covers core concepts of code, web development and job-oriented skills tracks.
