Community members can receive free flu vaccines from the Pulaski County Health Center and Home Health Agency at a drive-through clinic from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the Waynesville Middle School parking lot. Regardless of whether individuals possess health insurance, they will not be charged for the flu vaccine, the health office said. Those without insurance may have to fill out a one-page form. Those who have insurance should bring an insurance card and driver’s license. The Waynesville R-VI School District confirmed that classes will not be in session Friday. “Boo to the Flu” is a campaign by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to encourage vaccination against influenza by Halloween.
