Fort Leonard Wood’s inaugural Float Fest is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 20 at the Happy Hollow Recreation Area.
The event includes a 2-hour float trip followed by an afternoon of fun, food and games.
Entry fees are $50 per canoe, which can fit up to three individuals. Participants should bring their own personal floatation devices for children ages 4 and younger.
The float trip will be followed by a volleyball tournament, tug-of-war competition, bounce houses, a cornhole tournament, horseshoes and more.
Pick-up and drop-off will be provided.
Register in person at the Outdoor Adventure Center by 6 p.m. July 18 to participate.
Float Fest was originally planned as one of the installation’s Strong B.A.N.D.S. events in May, but was postponed due to inclement weather and rescheduled for July 20.
