The Sports Department will hold a run at 6 p.m. Oct. 16 and a second run at 8 a.m. Oct. 17, with a Run and Route Briefing scheduled 15 minutes before each run.
The runs are open only to registered Army Ten-Miler participants who are Department of Defense ID-card holders and have access to Fort Leonard Wood.
Typically held each year in Washington, D.C., this year’s Army Ten-Miler is being held virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
While they must complete all 10 miles in one run, participants can run wherever they choose at any time between Oct. 11 and 18.
Running times are tracked through the “ATM Runner Experience” app, which registered participants are required to download before starting their runs. Runners may also be asked to provide photos or videos of themselves after completing the run. The app is available at https://active.app.link/ArmyTenMiler.
Online registration is still available at the Army Ten-Miler website at armytenmiler.com for a $59 fee.
