It was a short week for basketball Feb. 18 through 20 on Fort Leonard Wood, with no Recreation League games held due to the President’s Day holiday and all most games on Feb. 19 postponed due to inclement weather.
The only games played Feb. 19 included a 79-60 victory by the 554th Engineer Battalion over the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and a victory by the 1st Engineer Brigade over the 5th Engineer Battalion. All other games were rescheduled and will be made up later this season.
Action returned to the Davidson Fitness Center courts Feb. 20. In those games:
— The 58th Transportation Battalion defeated the 2nd Battalion, 48th Infantry Regiment 51-46;
— The Medical Department Activity beat the 554th Engineer Battalion 53-51;
— The 2nd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment defeated the Sappers 44-43;
— The 14th Military Police Brigade beat the 5th Engineer Battalion 67-50;
— Combat Training Company defeated the 3rd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment, 51-40;
— The 43rd Adjutant General Battalion beat the 31st Engineer Battalion 71041.
The 43rd AG Gn. and the 1st Engr. Bde., both at 8-1, currently lead the intramural standings, followed by MEDDAC (6-1). CTC (5-4) and the 554th Engr. Bn. (5-4), which round out the top five teams in the 16-team intramural league.
Four weeks remain in the regular season.
