Piney Valley Golf Course will hold a Ladies Golf Clinic from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 5, the first in a four-week series of lessons on the basics of golf.
Each week, the clinic will teach participants different aspects of the game, from establishing your golf swing to the rules of the game to proper etiquette and more.
Future sessions are scheduled April 12, 18 and 26.
The entry fee is $30 per person. The clinic is open to the public, and all ages can take part.
Clubs, balls and instructions will be provided.

The golf clinic is just one of the activities happening at PVGC during the month of April. Other upcoming activities include:
— Masters Scramble: PVGC will hold a two-day Masters Scramble tournament April 7 and 8.
The tournament is a two-person scramble-format event, during which participants will be paired with a golf pro. A drawing to match participants with their pro partners will be held at 7:30 a.m. April 7. Play will begin with a shotgun start both days.
The entry fee is $75 per person, which includes two days of golf, a cart and a meal served during the final round.
Participants should register by April 6. The tournament is open to the public. Players must be ages 18 or older.

— The 2018 Advance Greens Fees Campaign continues through April 30, with players having a chance to save up to 15 percent off annual fees if they sign up before Sunday, and 10 percent if they sign up during the month of April.
Annual greens fees purchases cover greens fees from April 1 through March 31 of 2019. Those who pay advance greens fees also typically get discounts on series, workshops and tournaments put on by Piney Valley Golf Course throughout the year.
