Special to GUIDON
Join the Bruce C. Clarke Library July 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in celebrating the end-of-the-summer reading program and a very special birthday.
That’s right, our favorite wizard is turning 39 this year. In his honor, Bruce C. Clarke Library will be hosting its third House Cup Tournament.
The house with the most points by the end of the afternoon will win prizes.
In order to participate, visit the library and take the sorting quiz to receive your invitation and start earning points. Houses will earn five points for every member that joins that house and five points for every member who RSVPs to the invitation by July 22 at the front desk.
Receive your invitation and RSVP soon, because the House Cup Tournament is by invitation only.
Please put your family’s full names on the RSVP slips that are turned in to assure your house earns the points.
We will also have a Wizard’s Sport Tournament at the Birthday Bash. If you wish to be placed in your house for the tournament, we ask that patrons also sign up by July 22. Teams will be announced at the event.
Another way to earn points for your house before the Birthday Bash is to attend our Wizard Movie Series and participate in that day’s activity.
Every day of the series, members will get five points for attending the movie and five points for completing the activity. The Wizard Movie Series begins Monday and runs until July 25. All movies will be shown at 3 p.m. in the Community Room.
Finally, the best way to earn points is to attend the Birthday Bash on July 28.
Players will earn points playing board games and by playing Wizard Jeopardy. We will also be hosting a costume contest. The winner of the contest will receive a special prize, plus 50 points for their House.
