The U.S. Marine Corps Detachment won its final game of the regular season to finish the 2018 intramural softball season undefeated.
In the final round of make-up games played Aug. 14 at Sports Complex B, the Marine Det. defeated the 1st Battalion, 48th Infantry Regiment, 18-2.
In other games played Aug. 14, the 31st Engineer Battalion defeated the Medical Department Activity, 21-10, while the 58th Transportation Battalion picked up a forfeit victory.
In the final intramural standings, the Marine Det. was first with a record of 14-0, followed by the 94th Engineer Battalion in second place with a record of 13-1.
Finishing third was the 14th Military Police Brigade at 11-3, followed by Company A, 554th Engineer Battalion at 10-4 in fourth place and the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence at 8-6 in fifth place.
Rounding out the participating teams were the 252nd/180th Military Police Detachment, the 58th Trans. Bn., Combat Training Company, and the 2nd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment, all at 7-7; MEDDAC and Co. B, 554th Engr. Bn, both at 6-8, the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear School at 4-10, the 31st Engineer Battalion, at 3-11, the 1-48th Inf. Bn., at 2-12, and the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, at 0-14.
