Here are some of the events happening at Piney Valley Golf Course:
— The Commanding General’s Golf Scramble will begin at noon with a shotgun start July 26.
Entry is $45 per player, which includes greens fees, cart and a meal after the tournament. Advance Green Fee members receive a $10 discount. Register at PVGC, or call 573.329.4770 for details.
The four-person scramble-format tournament is open to the public. Players must be ages 18 and older.
— The Armed Services YMCA Golf Tournament is scheduled Aug. 9.

— Need practice? Free golf lessons for active-duty service members and family members ages 18 are offered by PVGC every Saturday.
Starting at 10 a.m., authorized personnel can learn the game of golf, from fundamentals for beginners to advanced instruction. The golf course provides clubs, golf balls and instruction.
