Special to GUIDON
SSG Andrew Manss, a range medic, worked with outside agencies to coordinate the Medical Readiness Exercise executed at Range 31 Hand Grenade Range last month.
The exercise tested incident response/reporting and included Range 31 cadre, Fort Leonard Wood fire department, EMS, Military Police, Safety, and Range Operations.
SSG Manss did an excellent job coordinating, executing and conducting the event and final after action review where many good lessons were captured to improve our emergency response procedures.
Mr. Mike Wolfe of Tank and Automotive Command continues to provide critical support to the 3rd Chemical Brigade, 84th Chemical Battalion. Recently Mr. Wolfe repaired 10 of 14 non-operational heaters in less than 72 hours to enable required training. He also managed to place light medium tactical vehicles into fully mission-capable status so a student could operate under inclement weather conditions.
