Special to GUIDON
The Maneuver Support Center of Excellence recognizes John Miller for thinking innovatively and searching for better ways to train the United States Army Forces Command and Army Reserve National Guard Soldiers who attend the Urban Search and Rescue Courses.
Miller identified the positive impacts and usefulness of video instruction to assist in training 13 types of rescue knots and use of four mechanical advantage systems.
He planned, coordinated and executed the video training. Now, these new professional training products ensure effective and efficient training for the students in the course, and also provide a training circular to help them in the field. MSCoE congratulates Miller for improving and inspiring excellence in his entire work unit.
Chaplain (Capt.) Christopher Dorsey recently came on active duty from the National Guard and is the only Catholic chaplain on Fort Leonard Wood. During Holiday Block Leave, he dedicated countless hours to supporting service members, government employees and their families with religious support activities and counseling.
Dorsey selflessly served by presiding over on-post masses on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, providing critical support to more than 500 people. MSCoE recognizes and commends his actions.
