Looking for something to do in central Missouri? A new promotional video by the City of Lebanon highlights tourism destinations and activities in the city and the surrounding area.
The city released the video to the public Friday. Entitled “City of Lebanon Promotional Video,” it can be viewed at www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1VZnMFl9tQ.
“This is just one of the tangible results of our area partners working together to celebrate our community,” said Mayor Jared Carr.
“We believe this video displays our community pride and brings some of our best-kept secrets into the spotlight.”
Destinations featured in the video include Bennett Spring State Park, Lebanon I-44 Speedway, the Cowan Civic Center, city parks, area festivals, the downtown business district, shopping venues, local high school sports facilities, parades and more. The video also highlights Lebanon’s proximity to other tourism destinations in Missouri, including Fort Leonard Wood, Springfield, St. Louis, Kansas City and the Lake of the Ozarks.
The video is a collaboration between the City of Lebanon, the Lebanon R-3 School District and the Lebanon Regional Economic Development Incorporation, also known as Lebanon REDI. In addition to tourism and recreation, it features images of life in Lebanon and Laclede County highlighting education and industry. Lebanon-area band Dawson Hollow provides the music for the video with their song “Take Me There.”
According to Michael Schumacher, city administrator, the video lines up with Lebanon City Council’s goals of finding ways to “promote the City of Lebanon as a preferred destination for retail and commercial businesses, tourism and regional activities.”
City, school and economic officials hope to use the video as a recruitment tool for industry, tourism, and to show potential residents what our community has to offer.
