Experience the Ready and Resilient Fair here at Fort Leonard Wood from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 4 at the Main Post Chapel. The R2F is open to service members, family members and civilian employees.
The R2F will showcase several resources while providing an opportunity for community members to receive education and prevention techniques.
“The amazing thing about the R2F is that it brings many readiness and resiliency programs together in one place allowing them to share the tremendous capabilities of each program,” said Carol Oberwager, Sexual Assault Response coordinator.
According to Oberwager, bringing these resources together not only allows the staff and community to learn about availability of different services, but it also allows staff to work toward prevention and education in the hopes of being proactive and not reactive.
Employee Readiness, Armed Services Blood Program, Financial Readiness Program and Armed Services YMCA of Missouri are just a few organizations that will be represented at the R2F.
“The goal is for participants to learn about the ready and resilient resources on and off post,” said Malia Nemetz, Army Substance Abuse Program support specialist. “We need the community to learn how to help their fellow community members and know that there are multiple resources for any of life’s rough times.”
The event will offer interactive training opportunities and participants can learn how to use the resources first hand.
Those in attendance will have personal access and interaction with exhibitors. A complimentary lunch for participants will be provided by the Mobile USO.
