Fort Leonard Wood’s series of free fun runs continues Saturday with the annual Survivor Outreach Services Run to Honor.
Held in remembrance of fallen Soldiers, and to honor all those who have served in the U.S. military, this non-competitive 5k run will begin at 8 a.m. at Davidson Fitness Center. A Kid’s Half Miler will follow at 9 a.m. The event will also include a mini-health fair with information booths offering materials on a variety of subjects promoting better health and well-being.
Runners with baby strollers or dogs on leashes are permitted.
The race is free and open to authorized patrons.
Participants can also get their punch cards stamped during the event. Those who complete six out of the 10 free fun runs and paid fitness events held by FMWR in 2018 can receive a free T-shirt.
The next event in the free fun-run series is the Men’s Health Month 5k scheduled for June 9.
