Three Fort Leonard Wood teams — the 14th Military Police Brigade, the U.S. Marine Corps Detachment and the 554th Engineer Battalion — have season records of 7-2 heading into the final week of the regular season.
Teams completed the seventh week of the season with games played July 23 and 24 at Sports Complex B.
In games played July 23:
— The 14th MP Bde. beat the 554th Engr. Bn. 18-14;
— The 2nd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment, defeated the Medical Department Activity 21-2;
— The 35th Engineer Battalion beat the 58th Transportation Battalion 14-9.
In games played July 24:
— The 554th Engr. Bn. defeated Combat Training Company 12-10;
— The 14th MP Bde. beat the 31st Engineer Battalion 22-2;
— The 554th Engr. Bn. defeated the Sappers 20-8;
— The 14th MP Bde. beat MEDDAC 16-7.
Following the 14th MP Bde., the Marine Det. and the 554th in the standings are CTC (6-2) in fourth place, the 35th Engr. Bn. (6-3) in fifth place, the Noncommissioned Officer Academy (4-4), the 2-10th Inf. Bn. (4-5), the Sappers (3-6), the 58th Trans. Bn. (2-7), the 31st Engr. Bn. (1-7), and MEDDAC (1-8).
Recreation League games were postponed for the second consecutive week due to inclement weather.
