Two Marines demonstrate how to make a cost-effective, nutritious and quick meal service members can cook anywhere there is a fire or heat. The Better Opportunities for Single Servicemembers Program held a Commissary-assisted cooking class Sept. 26 at BOSS Corner. Photo by Sam Campbell.
The meal, which was wrapped in foil and then cooked, included chicken breast, salt, pepper, paprika, brown rice, cream of chicken soup and assorted vegetables. It was jokingly referred to as a “hobo dinner” because it can be made anywhere — from a toaster oven in the office to the smoldering embers of a campfire in the woods. Photo by Sam Campbell.
