A free nutritious breakfast and lunch will be served to all students in grades kindergarten through 12th at most schools in the Waynesville R-VI School District during Summer School Monday through June 29.
The free meals will be offered at Waynesville High School, Waynesville Sixth Grade Center, East Elementary, Freedom Elementary, Wood Elementary, Partridge Elementary and Williams Early Childhood Center.
Due to construction, Waynesville Middle School students will attend and be served meals at Waynesville High School.
Free meals are not just for students. Free meals are also provided for individuals up to age 21, if they are determined by a state educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled and who participate in a school for disabled during the regular school year.
The district’s breakfast and lunch prices are set by the Healthy Hunger Free Act’s price equality section. The federal government also sets the reduced breakfast and lunch prices.
