Fort Leonard Wood will be recognized Sept. 22 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, as the St. Louis Cardinals hold their 25th annual Military Appreciation Day.
Tickets are now on sale for the event for $15 per person.
The ticket price includes admission to the 6:15 p.m. game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants, as well as a pre-game tailgate party featuring free hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, soda and entertainment. The tailgate party is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at the Ballpark Village parking lot. Attendees must pay for their own parking.
The game annually features Fort Leonard Wood personnel taking part in pre-game ceremonies, including ceremonial first pitches, performances by the 399th Army Band and a Joint Services Color Guard.
As part of the festivities, the first 30,000 fans ages 16 and older to arrive will receive a free St. Louis Cardinals sweatshirt.
