The seventh annual USA vs. the World Soccer Match is scheduled for noon May 5 at the Waynesville Middle School football field.
Organized by the the International Military Student Office and the FLW United Soccer Club, the annual match serves as a team-building event between U.S. and international military students.
Team USA is made up of Soldiers who are students in various courses on post, while the World team is made up of international students.
Events begin at 10:30 a.m. with an exhibition match between Team Justice and the Rolla Knights.
Opening ceremonies are scheduled to begin at noon, with team introductions, presentation of colors, the playing of the national anthem and a ceremonial coin toss, immediately followed by the USA vs. the World match, which will include two, 45-minute halves.
Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.
Several vendor booths will be on site, and concessions will be available for purchase.
