“Ensuring the safety of everybody on Fort Leonard Wood, working with the Soldiers, and still being part of the Army — that’s probably the most rewarding part. I used to live on Fort Leonard Wood and I’m retired Army, so I’ve worked (here) too.”
“I think the most rewarding part of my job is the people we come in contact with on a daily basis and also the people (who) work here. It takes a special person to come down here and work and actually do the security for Fort Leonard Wood.”
“I would say probably being frontline security. I’ve been working in security for almost 14 years and being the tip of the spear is really rewarding. Being able to stop criminals from coming on post and only allowing people who have rights to access this place.
My last security job I was at an isolated outpost, so I saw the same faces day in and day out. Here, it’s new faces every day, new situations, new things to fix.”
“The most rewarding part of the job is being able to help people out. We get thousands of people come in here each week to see their family members.
Here in the Visitor’s Center, we help people. That’s our main job. We get people the information they need, how to do it, where to go. And if they have problems, we are more than willing to work with them and give them solutions.”
