The Waynesville High School Theatre Department and Thespian Troupe 1669 will present their fall play, “Shakespeare in Hollywood” by Ken Ludwig at 7 p.m. tonight, Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Waynesville High School Auditorium.
Set in 1934, the play follows Shakespeare’s most famous fairies, Oberon and Puck, who have magically materialized on the Warner Bros. Hollywood set of Max Reinhardt’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Instantly smitten by the glitz and glamour of show biz, the two are ushered onto the silver screen to play themselves.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for students and staff and $3 for young children. Senior citizens may use an Activities Pass, available at the R-VI Administration Building in Waynesville, for free admission.
