“EEO is important because it enforces federal regulations regarding equality in the workplace that everyone is treated fairly throughout their employment. It is about addressing the balance so everyone feels equal, treated fairly and ensures that employers do not discriminate against employees based upon characteristics, such as race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, disability and reprisal.”
“Part of resilience is a healthy environment. Part of a healthy environment is having the ability to ask questions about processes, (share) your feelings about your job, being able to provide input about what you think is unsafe or unfair.
The resilience that we offer here is to provide the ability, not just for employees but for supervisors, to come and ask questions. The more proactive they are before something happens, the more prepared they are when something does.”
“We provide a valuable conduit between both the employee and management and I think having that line of communication is what allows the process to work.
Employees have to feel and have a way to share their grievances, thoughts and needs. Management also has to have a way to provide those same things.”
