Children filled Daugherty Bowling Center Sept. 8 for the first day of the Youth Bowling League.
The event was open to children ages 3 to 18 and started at 10:30 a.m. The Youth Bowling League will play every Saturday morning now through Dec. 22; however, they are planning on pausing for Thanksgiving weekend.
Bowlers can register up to the day of the event and do not have to pay any affiliation fee. Also, there will be no charge for shoe rental, and the cost per game is at a discounted price of only $2.
Michael Halderman, a parent of one of the participants, said, “So far, we are satisfied. We just started, this is our first year.”
The Youth Bowling League provides families with an inexpensive and easy way to have fun on a Saturday morning. “I would definitely recommend this for other families,” Halderman said.
For an additional $5, bowlers can join the “Have a Ball Program.” Every bowler who signs up will receive a custom-drilled bowling ball.
The Youth Bowling League will roll again Saturday at Daugherty Bowling Center. Children ages 3 to 18 can participate.
